The means we see at work is a John Deere 643 L forestry tractor powered by a Power Tech 6.8 liter engine for 211 horses and combined with an FD felling head 45. The operation consists in breaking down and stacking the young poplars which will subsequently be shredded, obtaining chips for the production of electrical or thermal energy.
