MASSEY HARRIS 555 Diesel

MASSEY HARRIS 555 Diesel
Pulling M-H 4-14 No. 28 plow at Alvordton Oh. Plow day In the 70's I owened a 44special and a 444D would have loved to have added a 555 if I could have found one. Loved farming with these classics. I also owned a Int 560 and my dad had a MH pony and a JD 60. He restored a MH 33 combine. Do ya think we were Massey Harris fans. As far as im aware the internals of the clutch were different for the hand clutch and may explain why its not connected. Hand clutch was an option on all western special 55s and i believe 203s before them. All Massey 25s had a had clutch. We had three 55ks and when the engines git tired we fitted perkins 6/355 into them. Really transformed them. Also the extra revs made them faster. Much less fuel used as well
